closing night film : audience choice
The 2025 When We Were Young programme celebrates TOPS’ milestone 15th birthday by throwing back to the festival’s very first curated programme theme – coming of age – to reflect on where we’ve been, where we’re going, and why we fell in love with the movies in the first place. Stories about the trials and tribulations of youth are a cinematic staple, and this programme includes films about the wonder of childhood, the never-easy process of growing up, and coming of age – at any age. Now we’re inviting our community of supporters to lend us their programming voice, and help us select the Closing Night Film of the 15th anniversary season!
As part of the 15th anniversary season, every person who makes a charitable donation of $15 or more on the TOPS website will be invited to vote on the festival’s closing night film in August.
Donations of $15 or more, made by August 11th, are eligible to vote. Voting will take place from August 5-15, and the Audience Choice title will be announced on August 17th.
Donations made in cash or tiptap while at TOPS events are not eligible for a ballot, as these do not afford us with your contact information to send you a ballot in August.
Save the date for August 24th at Christie Pits (where the festival first started!) to watch the winning Closing Night Film. See the contenders for the audience vote below (and start pulling the vote for your fave!)
